Introduction

Hello,
I am a seasoned educator and manager, with careers across clinical, academic, and commercial domains. I worked as a music therapist and voice teacher for decades. Later, I focused on the unique educational needs and abilities of profoundly gifted people. Next, while I raised my family, I developed and managed a global trade association member education and support service for entrepreneurs in the nascent eCommerce environment. I next attained a Masters degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, followed by grant writing and management related to STEM content-knowledge and second language learning. I taught medical English for students entering health career tracks in a community college. I designed and implemented ESL/EFL teacher training coursework for a US State Department international secondary school teacher program, and prepared undergraduate level pre-service teachers in language development, teaching, and learning. I managed a university-based STEM education research center, where I was also awarded, as Principal Investigator, a prestigious National Institutes of Health biomedical and behavioral education grant for a program I developed for bilingual high school students to explore health careers and do scientific research. Most recently, I designed and implemented a cross-disciplinary, sponsored projects agenda and infrastructure for a small liberal arts college. Presently, I want to find a situation in which my husband and I can travel and contribute globally to inclusive education through English teaching or management. If my experience and aspirations seem compatible with programs and resources available, please feel free to contact me.
Sandra
